Both Dreamstore Academy graduates, they have supported Nine Maidens Centre in Redruth, Helston Community College, Falmouth Primary School and the Dreadnought Centre for autistic young people. John and Ros have been initiators and the dynamic of angling activities and bring passion and dedication to everything they undertake”.
Angling-School was incorporated as a community interest company limited by guarantee in January 2013 to provide all members of the community, including young or vulnerable people and those with additional needs, with positive recreational, educational and environmental activities to promote healthy life styles, social inclusion and community cohesion.
Outcomes & Impacts
Angling can be far more than dangling a hook in water and can have powerful personal outcomes, social impacts and educational opportunities. There are also health benefits from being outdoors and relaxing as well as a physical activity.
Angling-School has additional programmes and activities to reach out and address these possibilities, and the skills and experience to deliver them. These include team building, cookery demonstrations and accreditation for candidates through the Children’s University and Sports Leaders, as well as Coaching Academies for adult anglers wishing to pass on their skills and interests.
